Identity & Typography
The identity typeface is customised to subtly reference the Art Deco typography associated with Miami.
The stepped composition breaks 'name' and 'dispatches' into two separate identities that are reconnected with the brackets and co·lon. One half needs the other, to complete the bracketed form.
The brand colours reference Miami Art Deco architecture. One colour is assigned as a theme to each issue.
Documents are designed to U.S. Letter dimensions with guidelines for A4, this allows the design to be printed internationally and without changing print settings. The template outlines staple and hole punch locations, offering an alternative for the user to place the document in their own binder as well as for institutions with an existing filing system.
Each issue has a self printable cover template to contain a collection of articles. The covers are also dividers between each issue when placed into a folder.
The guides have been incorporated into the design with a Miami themed colour to differentiate each new issue.
The half cover for each issue can be trimmed by the user with the guide provided on the template.
Posters – Subscription Incentive
One limited edition poster is sent out with each container to subscribers. The poster is a reward / incentive and a method of circulating further awareness about [name: dispatches].
